It’s going to be a crowded, more mature market, and we don’t like being latecomers. Beyond TwitterĮven though we’re not currently working on an app, we’re all definitely thinking about the Fediverse and are active on Mastodon. We feel like this is a good time to step back, slow down, and think about where we want to head post-Twitter.Īs we speak, teams of talented developers are building a plethora of great apps for Mastodon. Any new social media app will unfortunately have to wait. We’re a small team and don’t have the resources to work on more than one major internal project at a time. We’ll be working on Frenzic until late spring of this year. The game has been immensely fun to work on and we’re grateful Apple gave us a long-awaited opportunity to revisit our first game for the iPhone. Our current priority is completing chapter 3 of Frenzic: Overtime on Apple Arcade. (But honestly, we loved seeing all the creative names that people have come up with when asking the question!). We’ve been asked, countless times: “Are you folks working on a Mastodon app?” Many other people saw it was coming as reality began to sink in at the end of October.
